Domenic, my information supports your post.  People on the ground are a better source for information than what we hear from the media.    How often do politicians go on a fact finding mission and come back fed with what the country wanted them to see and hear?  Remember Barry Goldwater who made the statement that he had been brainwashed?  That may have cost him the election for President.
I have trusted sources that I will not name.  How to convey to another person the validity of information is not easy.  What I witnessed personally and then read the political view where what I saw was denied, makes me question most everything the country says.  We hear lies repeated often enough to a point where they are considered truth.

If I were a Palestinian and my house was taken from me or destroyed and I was forced to leave for safety reasons and live in subhuman conditions in a refugee camp, I would not rest until I received justice.  If that justice was not forthcoming, I most likely would personally try to inflict punishment.  Stones are also called missles.  Throwing stones at the enemy is an act of frustation.  The response is often machine-gun fire.  The media refrains from showing the blood and guts spilled as too gruesome.

The cause of the conflict keeps being brushed aside.  Those who claim knowledge of history should seek historical facts about the situation.  That information is available and must be sought from impartial and reliable sources, not from propaganda machines. That's my view.

Thank you Abe.

The Oslo Accords go back to 1993, between Israel and the then PLO.  Circumstances in the Middle East have changed greatly since then.  The problems still exist.  Actions on both sides have occurred that are counter to the accords, and the basic problems still exist.

I am neither Pro-Israel nor Pro-Palestinian, nor am I Anti- either group.  My comments were made as a response to Abe's statement that we should hold Israel accountable for what he perceives to be "occupation with the intent of annexation," as a way of bringing the discussion back into balance.  My point being that,"There are two sides to the issue.  The perspectives of each side must be recognized and considered," as I said in that post.

I believe Ukraine will split, Russia is getting it's way. So now it's almost
over I think this country should get down to it's own personal affairs and
straighten things out fast, as Paul Revere would have rode and shouted
( If he was alive today," " The elections are coming !"

Thank you Domenic for this YouTube recording.  It is enlightening and refreshing.
One weapon that Israeli supporters continue to be use is the label, "Anti-Semetic".  That term has been used as intimidation to curb truth from being told.  It is refreshing that Jews are speaking out against the Israeli regime.  To be against the Israeli regime does not mean one is against Jews in general.  The Israeli propaganda machine continues to spew out erroneous and outdated information as referenced in my previous post about "not recognizing the right of Israel to exist."
Thank you Domenic for the courage to speak out.  Although Israeli atrocities continue, I believe as does the "Son of the Israeli General" that it will eventually come to an end and that prosecution will take place (or be attempted) for the criminals involved.

I just read on the news that the Pentagon is sending F 15's and F 16's
to Poland and Lithuania , are we planning another war ? That would be
a fatal mistake, let Ukraine and Russia deal with each other, why do we
always have to be the big Daddy of the world, we don't even have the
resources to help our own people to get jobs ( 10 Million or more,) We
can't afford to get into it...

One more comment, Domenic about the Israel/Palestine thing.
What the General's son said was nothing I didn't already know, however trying to relay that information to others was like hitting a stone wall.  When Jimmy Carter wrote his book, "Peace not Apartheid" he was ridiculed.  I suspect that Miko Peled will also be ridiculed.  Truthful information is available, however I wonder how many will view the video or read his book.  Some prefer to remain in darkness and not have their illusions shattered.

When my wife took Comparative Religious Studies at the university, her Professor was a Jew who taught Judaism, Islam and Christianity.  She told my wife that whenever she made the statement, "Jesus was a Jew" there were always a number of students who walked out of her class.  They wanted to believe that Jesus was a Christian, They continued in their ignorance.

Concerning Ukraine, Joe.  I think the US action is a power play.  It's much like playing chicken to see who will back down first.  I read a newspaper headline this afternoon that said, "Clinton compares Putin to Hitler".  I don't know if it was Bill or Hilary Clinton, but that statement, if true, is stupid considering that it can have a negative effect on diplomacy.  Putin will need a way to save face for him to back down and that's where diplomacy can help provide the needed "face-saving".  Such pride is also prevelant in the Middle East.  Some would go to war rather than back down and lose face.  It sound ridiculous, but that's the way it is.  The more power one has, but the bigger the Ego.

Abe,

Abe, I understand the thinking of the Jews who live in Israel…There were no people known as Palestinians in the land. It was small groups of Arabs. It is somewhat akin to the American Indians who were not a unified nation, thus the U.S Gov treated the American Indians as just tribes, and not a nation. The people known as Palestinians were Arab groups that had been on the land for hundreds of years. They do have a right to live as citizens of Israel as do the Jews.

As to how many people in the world will care about the Palestine people, I don’t think many will. Look how many years after the slaughter of the American Indians it took for anybody to care.

This I know about them first hand; The Palestine people are a kind, friendly people. They are honest, and God loving. Ask them for help, and they will give it freely. They are a beautiful people who care about all people…they are not war like, nor terrorist.

If you and your wife ever go to Israel, go to the West Bank. You will be safe, and treated as a guest of honor. I have many friends there who are like family to me. They will also care for you.

Domenic, I am acquainted with Palestinians.  My book, "To Beirut and Back" makes numerous references to them.  Although the book is out of publication with Publish America, it is currently in the editing process for a new release by ATTMP.  It may even have a new title.

What is significant about the General's Son is that truth is being told by a Jew.  I want this book and have checked on it with Amazon.  It is pricey at the moment and I shall wait a bit before ordering.

Joe, as for how we got from the Ukrane to Israe, itl just happened.  Troubled spots have things in common and I suppose when one thinks of one, another pops into mind.

He has a video on face book, and hits the high points of the book. One thing he said I did not like..."Jesus is a fairy tale."

Yes, he said it in his video. The video is on you tube. I found it somewhat funny. If Jews think Jesus is a fairy tale, why did they get so upset over the Passion of the Christ?

Ukrain, Russia has always wanted to take over Europe. Hitler knew this, and he also knew  the Russians were getting ready to attack Germany...that is why he attacked Russia. I don't think the Russian plans have changed. If they take the Ukrain, they will try to keep taking. You must remember, Russia, and China have a pack. The free world could not beat both of these.
They could both lose 80% of their people, and still have more than we have.

I think there is a way to stop Russian aggression without war.  Money talks, especially when connected to oil.  Russia depends on the sale of its oil for income and the pipeline to Europe has made them rich.  The West could supply Europe with all the oil they need.  PerhapsI this strategy is part of the sanctions being considered.
