| Refusing to discuss atrocities doesn't make them go away. Hate does breed more hate and ignorance breeds more ignorance. There must be a resolution to this ongoing conflict. The more attention we give it may help to bring more attention to it. It is one thing to see pictures, but another thing to see it live. When one sees it live it is burned into the mind forever. |

| There have been atrocities on both sides.
If you want peace, you must let go of the notion of retribution, especially for that horrible day in Beirut. Hatred and fear cannot - repeat- cannot lead to peace.
If you truly want peace, you will have to stop hating.
It is as simple as that. |

| Every culture has a feud that goes back generations and touches their hot buttons, more for some people than others. The north and the south have not settled their issues. The man from Atlanta I dated and I carried on the Civil War with our differing opinions and family histories.
Some of us lived in feuding lands and experienced the atrocities of war. The impact on the psyche is lasting.
If you think the Irish and the Brits are fully over their past, it still seethes underneath. The Koreans and the Japanese have underlying distrust.
Tribal and civil wars are found in every corner of the earth. One race continues to suspect and even hate another. Economic disparities cause issues. Our cities carry the deaths from rival gangs that are long imbedded in memory.
Peace is only possible through a change of heart, a willingness to move forward instead of into the past. That sort of epiphany is long in coming and difficult to achieve, sometimes nearly impossible. |

| There is a video on my Face Book. A very respected man who is from Israel/Palestine speaks on the above issue. He also backs up what he says...this is a must watch. The man is Jewish. |

| A solution to the Conflict between Israel and the Palestine must be found. The conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis continue. Each American President has tried to bring both sides together with the thought that the parties must resolve their own differences. It hasn’t worked. In the meanwhile, more people have died. How many more must die before a solution is found? In my view, the parties to this conflict can not or will not resolve their differences without outside intervention. There must be an enforceable plan. My suggestion would be to give them one year to reach an agreement. If they have not come to an agreement at the end of one year, then the International Community should set up an Arbitration committee that would impose a settlement with authority to enforce it. Do I think that will happen? No, because we are not impartial. This conflict has caused economic problems worldwide. The oil embargo is just one example. Pressure is needed. Talking about the problem is one way to give it attention. There is a Website that deals with the Pro's and Con's of this matter. | The Palestinians have never in their history had an army. These are people of peace. They have lost their whole country to invaders. They have no rights. The army of Israel can do anything they want to the Palestinian people, and they do. The world turns their face away from the problem. America keeps sending Aid to Israel each month. That makes us a part of the genocide. The whole Arab world is watching. The Jews want every Palestinian out of the country, or dead...all Americans say is, "Both sides have to learn to love each other." Wake up, a whole race is being murdered, and the West supports it. |

- The Palestine Liberation Army (PLA) was ostensibly set up as the military wing of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) at the 1964 Arab League summit held in Alexandria, Egypt, with the mission of fighting Israel. However, it has never been under effective PLO control, but rather it has been controlled by its various host governments, usually Syria.
The PLA today[edit] PLA soldiers later became the core of the Palestinian Authority's (PNA) National Guard, after the signing of the 1993 Oslo Accords, when they were allowed to enter the Palestinian Territories to take up positions in the PNA security services. The Syrian PLA remains in operation, closely coordinated with the Syrian-controlled as-Sa'iqa faction of the PLO, although the importance of both has diminished. The PLA has been rebuilt and Palestinian refugees in Syria are still drafted to perform their military service in its ranks. Though completely staffed by Palestinians, it remains outside of the PLO's control, and is in effect integrated into the Syrian Army. Nevertheless, it poses as an independent entity, and occasionally organizes pro-government rallies celebrating Syrian commitment to the Palestinian cause.[3] Recently, with the establishment of the Palestine National Authority (PNA), important parts of those brigades in Egypt and Jordan were absorbed into the PNA security forces. It is reported that approximately 4,500 PLA members remain in Syria.[4] During the Syrian civil war, at least 17 PLA soldiers and 6 officers were killed, with the highest ranking fatality being a Brigadier General, Anwar al-Saqa.[5][6] [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] - Quote :
- The Palestinian National Security Forces (NSF) (Arabic: اجهزة امن السلطة الفلسطينية) are the paramilitary forces of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA). The Presidential Guard (PG) was a separate force, originally not part of the NSF.[1][2] Since the signing of the Oslo Accords, these forces operate in areas controlled by the PNA.
The Palestinian National Security Forces engages in various activities which includes among others, maintaining the security and protection of the Palestinian President and Palestinian Leadership. The Director General of the Palestinian National Security Forces is Major General Nasser Yousef. The Palestinian Security Force is financed by the United States which, according to media estimates, pays an annual 3 million dollars for it. |

| Syria takes people from other countries into its army...that should solve the problem of the genocide of the Palestinian people. During the genocide of the American Indians, some Indians were taken into the American Army. That solution did not seem to work. The government of Syria is not going to save the Palestinian people. The West will do nothing about the genocide. The world does not care. |
